One of our clients based in Aberdeen is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to come join them on a full-time permanent position. They are looking for an individual who is a quick learner and has the ability to grow within the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude, work well within a team and enhance their finance department with additional knowledge and skills. If you are looking for a new challenge within a finance setting this could be the position for you.

 

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Ensure all Purchase Orders and invoices are checked and correct
  2. Preparation of sales invoices
  3. Reconcile supplier statements
  4. Prepare payment runs
  5. Timesheet input on a weekly basis
  6. Monthly reconciliation of petty cash
  7. Reconciliation of bank statements
  8. Participate in yearly audits / analysis and reconciliations
  9. Assist with yearend requirements
  10. Employee expenses
  11. Credit control
  12. General admin duties within the finance department

 

The skills/ knowledge / qualifications required

  1. Recognised Accounting qualification preferred but not essential
  2. Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures
  3. Exposure of accounts to trial balance / P&L stage
  4. IT Literate
  5. Previous experience within a similar role / environment
  6. Oil & Gas exposure
