An opportunity is available for a Service Manager to join an industry leading engineering firm, supplying on and offshore engine maintenance services in the UK and World-wide.
The role will be onshore based, in the Aberdeen offices, where you will have full responsibility for the service division, and actively promote the division within the relevant marketplaces.
The Role:
• To ensure all jobs are run effectively, on time and on budget
• Providing technically accurate work packs and scopes of work
• Responsibility for a large team of field-based engineers.
• Customer & operational support
• To determine customer needs and respond as necessary; working closely with Operations team to ensure service parts quotes are accurate and issues in good time.
• Identify any areas for process improvement
• Key Account Management / point of contact for tenders & contracted customers
• Travel to customer location/site to attend meetings when required
• Prepare periodic reports as and when required for both customers and internal requirements.
Required experience:
• Proven experience and competence managing a team of engineers
• Proven experience and competence as a Mechanical/Diesel Engineer
• Offshore Oil & Gas experience
• Excellent staff management skills
• Excellent communication skills#
• Previous risk assessment/safety training and experience
• Computer literate
