Permanent Technical Sales Engineer Central Belt

An opportunity is available for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a major player in the lifting and load measuring industry, with over 30 years trading history.
Ideally, you will be based in Central Belt or Southern Scotland.
The company products cover a wide range of powered lifting and load measuring equipment including hoists, overhead cranes and winches – therefore a knowledge of pneumatic or electrical lifting equipment would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given.
The Role:
• Maintaining and developing long-term relationships with existing customers and / or potential customers.
• Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in designated regions
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows and other marketing events (which may include some overseas travel)
• Ensure customer service satisfaction, provide technical back-up, including sales support interaction, building strong customer relationships.
• Making technical presentations and demonstrate how a product / service meets customers’ needs.
• Work in conjunction with Internal Sales department to develop and maintain sale activities
• Provide after sales support services and technical back up as required

Key skills:

• Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of sales with good communication skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships, quickly and effectively
• Willingness to travel within U.K. and abroad
• Experience in a technical background – preferably in engineering with lifting equipment knowledge.
• Energetic, confident, highly motivated, professional and with a track record of success.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to book own meetings and chase up leads and enquiries.
Excellent salary/package on offer, circa £35,000 + company car.
