Site Supervisor (Civils Foreman)

£22-24 p/h

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Foreman / Site Supervisor to join an award winning construction business with projects across the North East of Scotland. With projects well underway my client is looking for an experienced Civil Foreman / Site Supervisor who could hit the ground running and become an integral part of our clients business. KBM’s client is looking for an individual who has the right attitude and have the ability to integrate smoothly into thier growing team. You will be the key point of contact on specific projects and have the ability to communicate clearly to the wider team. This is a hands on role and requires you to be an excellent team player.

As the foreman you will be reporting straight into the Contracts Manager and liaising with site engineers, plant managers ad work planners. You will ensure your team are following all health and safety protocols on site and ensure welfare is of the highest priority. You will conduct toolbox talks and ensure all sub-contractors and employees are fully equipped to carry out their duties. Our client has a strong presence across the North-East of Scotland and requires thier employees to represent them in the most professional manner.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager with any on going issues which relate to your area of work
  • Ensure all your risk-assessments are carried out to the highest standard which highlight the level of supervision and PPE required for the project.
  • Following on from your risk assessments, ensure the outcomes of this are implemented before works have begun. Ensuring external factors are taken into account.
  • Keep all paperwork / record up to date and stored in the correct fashion
  • Ensure all equipment is used in the correct manner and is maintained.
  • Carry out all works are carried out in accordance with company policies and standards
  • Toolbox talks
  • Team briefs
  • Planning of works and manpower
  • Organise labour, material and plant inline with your operations.
  • Ensure sufficient amount of material is ordered and organised for the length of the project.

The key skills / knowledge / experience required:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • First Aid
  • Knowledge of BS 5975 temporary works
  • Knowledge of Confined Spaces, Abrasive Wheels and Risk Assessment Training
  • IT Literate
  • A minimum of 4 years experience within the civil industry.
